Hi folks!
We are a family of two adults and two kids and a cat (who can’t travel with us outside Europe or short-term). We love travelling, but can’t as much as we would like. We believe in world life experience.

We offer our unique 1000 year-old stone house for rent for two months July and August 2018 (we can consider one month but not less). Rent is 750 Euros per month, bills included. Our kitten is extremely sweet and healthy, she only needs to be fed, loved, and let in and out of the house (there is not a cat-door).

This northern summer, 2018, we are looking for somewhere to stay in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA not far from the coast, and/or HAWAII Big Island. HOUSE/PETSIT/PROPERTY MANAGEMENT & CLEANING. We have experience house/petsitting in a number of countries. We are clean and respectful, and appreciate being owners and treat everywhere as we expect our place to be treated.

OUR PLACE:
We live in a 3-storey medieval stone ex-farmhouse (c. 1000AD) with fantastic views.
Totals around 125m2. House has 2 bedrooms (sleeps >5) and a bathroom upstairs, and downstairs an open-plan kitchen/diningroom/livingroom with a fireplace, a livingroom/tv room with a bed, and a toilet. There is also a vaulted laundry/storage room.

Walking trails start at the door. We have a garden and some land (c. 1600m2) that you can use. Half of the land is an orchard with apples, walnuts, chestnuts, persimmons, peaches, blackcurrants, planted and wild blackberries. You can pick fruit, berries, nuts and mushrooms in season. We usually have a veggie patch that produces May-September. Walking trails ascending/descending mountain to top (c. 1 hr by foot)/town (c.40mins by foot).

The house is in an historic medieval mountain borgo (hamlet) with views over the whole Po Valley to the Ligurian Alps and the Appenines. Our borgo (hamlet) is surrounded by forest, but only a few kilometres to our town (with all facilities), Bergamo, and Orio airport. Our local town (with Celtic, Roman and medieval traces) is famous for Romanic art and architecture. Near Milan (55kms), Lake Como (25kms), and ski lifts (from 35kms, Foppolo International Ski Resort 50km). We are on and surrounded by Cyclists’ & Motorcyclists’ dream roads. Local activities include Hiking, Paragliding/Hang-gliding/Gliding, stargazing, animal watching, nut & mushroom gathering, skiing/snowboarding/sledding, there is also a tree ziplining centre in the next town. Of course, if you want to relax, enjoy the countryside, eat local food and drink local wine, this is the right area. There are a number of restaurants nearby with typical Lombard cuisine as well as local wine producers. Every season here has its charms.

You should have your own vehicle; we are very awkward to reach by public transport. There are numerous local carhire agencies. Parking is on the road (no cars inside the borgo).

This place is set in a peaceful ambience, in the country, surrounded by forest and being on the first mountain of the Alps, it has all the advantages of the mountains, without the inconveniences of distance. Quiet, but not far from the town (you can even walk) & everything necessary, Bergamo city, the airport, the lake, etc. There are families with children and you will probably hear them outside school hours. We have 2 bicycles, 1 adult and 1 child.

A car or motorbike is necessary beyond hiking/walking, as public transport is scarce. By car with no traffic: 20″ Città Alta- Bergamo, 25″ Orio Airport (Ryanair’s Sthn European hub), 30″ to the start of Lario (Lake Como), 45″ Linate Airport, 60″ Milan, 50″ international skifields. There are many unknown gems (architecture, nature, art, entertainment) nearby. By foot: “Jewels of The Romanic” several medieval churches with frescoes 30-45″. Albenza Golf Course (international golf club members can play a round) is at our foot, starting about a 30″ walk away. Paragliding/Hangliding (tandem) on our mountain is possible. You can go in a glider from our local aerodrome (c.€80). Cyclists’/mortorcyclists’ dream roads.

We have no microwave, dishwasher or clothes dryer (but we have an oven, washing machine and clothes-racks); we have no pool, spa-bath, trampolines, videogame consoles, and only 1 (!) tv; our wifi is not always superfast (but it works well enough most of the time); we do have neighbours with kids, and there are insects (would it be the country without?).
