We love this vibrant part of Toronto!
You can take the streetcar along famous Queen Street and hop off in different interesting neighbourhoods- perfect for photo and food lovers! You can walk to some of the best restaurants in the city! Leslieville is a hip part of the city but also very family friendly. There is a always something interesting happening nearby for kids and adults. You can get everything you need either delivered or withing walking distance (there is an urban bulk store across the street and convenience store down the block. Big chain grocery store Loblaws, Canadian Tire, & Shoppers Drug also walking distance down Leslie Street by Lakeshore)

We are in a corner apartment above shops on Greenwood and Queen, close to downtown Toronto and the neon light of Dundas Square and Shopping Mecca of the Eaton Centre. The Distillery District & St Lawrence Market are just a short street car ride. One block away is the huge Greenwood Park with a dog park, outdoor ice skating, swimming pool, baseball fields, playground, bike paths, and splash pad. There are many diverse neighbourhoods nearby; the Beaches for the sandy shores of Lake Ontario with volleyball, boardwalk, and health food shops, Little India and Broadview Ave and China Town. The 31 bus stops in front of the apartment for a 5 minute bus ride to the subway or Danforth to explore Greek town. We also love visting Brickworks (old converted brick factory), the Harbourfront with cool modern art museums, Centre Island, Ontario Science Centre, AGO, CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, the Aquarium, the Zoo, there is always something to do!

If you want to get out of the city, there are lots of campgrounds and provincial parks within an hours drive. We have a 28 foot motorhome in storage outside the city (in Brampton that would likely be available to use during your stay as well)
Our kids are enrolled in the local school so for this next year we are only able to exchange homes during an extended winter holiday (months of December or January) and summer (July & August 2019) Possibly month of March as well.
