Update Oct 2017: we had a lovely family from Budapest housesit this time – this is a great site to match up families :).
Hi, we are looking for housesitters for 3 weeks in May/early June 2017 (specific dates) to come and stay in our traditional stone family home in central France.
It’s rural (small hamlet) and beautiful here. We have 4 sheep, 5 hens, a dog and a cat who need looking after. If you want some family time to relax and get to know traditional France, then maybe it’s perfect for you. We’ve had wonderful housesitters before and hope you enjoy this special little bit of France. We have 3 children so the house and animals are family friendly.
2 double bedrooms, loft room with mezzanine futon, and single bed. Wifi. All mod cons.
There are lakes and forests nearby. Bread oven baker next door. Goat farm selling cheese up the hill, neighbour sells apple juice and jam. Supermarket/cinema etc 15 minute drive: you’d need a car, although neighbour manages with donkeys 😉
Please ask if you want to know more. Unfortunately, we can’t really be flexible on dates because we are away for a set time. We leave 11 May (coming the day before would help to show you around) and come back 2 June (no rush to leave, you can stay the weekend if you want to).
PS re photos, sorry, no chicks at the moment.
We house sat for Jennifer in July 2014 and it was great! The farmhouse is lovely and in a really quaint little village. You definitely need a car but the whole area is really beautiful and the Goats cheese up the road is a must! My kids still talk about the sheep, cats, dog and chickens!
Thanks Jen! Lambs and chicks now too!
